Background
Founded in 2012, Urëk® creates value from agro-industrial residual biomass through applied R&D. Agro-industrial biomass presents both a challenge and an opportunity. Currently, most of that biomass is poorly managed, but there is huge value in it that can be unlocked through innovation.
At Urëk®, we work under a circular (regenerative) economy approach, looking to create value from that residual biomass and a positive impact on the surrounding communities, farmers, customer industries, and the environment. In short, we believe that unlocking the economic potential in different agro-industrial biomasses is an avenue to create a more prosperous and sustainable global society.
